Quantum Computing!

Here's another cool thing I came across today, so here's the post :P
I'm sure everyone has heard of "quantum computing" and how its a really big deal, also how complicated it is. So lets try and put that in simple words.

Cymatics

I found this topic really interesting, thought of writing about it today.
It's rightly said that when one wants to know about masses, motion, etc they must think of it on the basis of waves.

Some useful links to required software for engineering students

credits:www.technoburst.net
New post after a really long time.. Sorry about the delay!
Today's post is short.. just a little info on software downloads specifically for engineers or engineering students.(mainly EC branch).
I have seen my fellow students having trouble trying to download required software for their course.. So I'm posting links to downloads today, to make your work easier.. Hope you find it helpful!

Link to software for the first year students:

This is the link to the downloads page of 'codeblocks' software which is really useful for C programming..

This is the link to download the 'solid edge' software which is really useful for Computer Aided engineering drawing(CAED) subject.
http://solid_edge.en.downloadastro.com/

Link to software for the second year students:

This is the link to extremely useful Octave software which is very similar to Matlab. For the second year students, octave may be sufficient:
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/octave
The above link has the last folder called "windows/" where all windows OS users will find installers and other useful stuff.

This is the link to the xilinx ISE software which is used for FPGA programming.
You may have to open a free account, but the pain is worth it!
http://www.xilinx.com/support/download.html
There are lots of options in the link, you can choose what ever is appropriate for your requirement.

Here's another link to the "Sequel" circuit simulation software. Its developed by IIT, Bombay. It's really useful! It's like Pspice, but a more student oriented version..
https://www.ee.iitb.ac.in/~sequel/

Here's the link to Keil uvision software. For engineers in second year, the evaluation version of C51 development tool can be installed to program 8051 which is currently used in labs. 8052 can also be programmed.

Finally,  a link to the 'Masm' software, which used for assembly language programming. You can also use the 8086 assembler software. Of course, both are by windows, so installing them won't be an issue..  Here's the link :

That's it for now, I hope this post is useful to all my readers..
